Massage : Includes Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Neuromuscular, Myofascial, & Prenatal Massage
Many studies over the years have proven that massage and therapeutic touch can dramatically decrease stress levels; relieve muscle tension, soreness, and strain; strengthen the immune system; alleviate depression; increase circulation in the body, thus delivering more oxygen to the tissues (which is what works to decrease the pain); promote healing from within and increase overall well-being and vitality.
Julianne has 17 years experience in a variety of settings, working with chiropractors, physicians, physical and aquatic therapists, and acupuncturists to provide a professional and compassionate approach to massage. She offers stretching and strengthening exercises and nutritional suggestions as a routine part of therapy. She has worked with cancer patients in hospice, understanding the gentle touch required in such circumstances; and the loving touch needed while a woman is pregnant and going through so many changes. Also offered are yoga postures and breath work to assist in easing the transitions through pregnancy.
Most massage therapy is given on a comfortable table. It is preferable to be undressed, as you will be completely covered except for the muscle area that is being worked on, but if you are uncomfortable, massage can be given over clothing, as it is during a chair massage. Modifications can be made with pillows and bolsters to adjust for uneven limbs, painful areas, and pregnancy. There is a temperature adjustable blanket to keep you cozy.
We do not accept insurance, so payment must be made at time of visit via check or cash: $55.00 per hour (60 minutes) or $35.00 per half hour (30 minutes)
Give yourself and others the gift of touch - massage is the gift that can leave you feeling refreshed, energized, and ready to cope.
